Below are the Terms and Conditions governing the chelonian purchase in Cameroon.
I ship by AIR FRANCE or by SWISS AIR priority overnight services only. All orders shipped byAIR FRANCE OR SWISS AIR agency will require someone to be present and sign for the package.
Age Requirement: I will not knowingly sell to anyone under the age of eighteen. Proof of age is at my discretion. If upon my request you are unwilling to provide verifiable proof of age your order will be canceled.
Box Charge - We use a new insulated/Electronic styro box with every order. Heat packs are used when necessary. The boxes are design to hold one tortoise per box.
PLEASE do not insult me by asking me to make an exception for you. (Too funny)
Pricing: Prices are subject to change without notice and at my discretion. I frequently post animals for sale in the classifieds ads on kingsnake.com. In the event that a price is different in the classified than what I have posted on my website the classified ad will always be considered the correct price. This is regardless of that price being lower or higher.
LAWS IN CAMEROON.
Laws in cameroon are somewhat unique as far as reptiles are concerned.
From January 1st. 1977 a new law was passed, making it illegal to own reptiles in cameroon, unless you obtained a dispensation from the Ministry of Agriculture, fishing and livestock. I do possess such a dispensation. However I do have to follow a particular procedure each year in order to acquire C.I.T.E.S export permits. Not only are the tortoise eggs inspected by the Cameroonian Veterinary Authorities, but also the babies after they hatch.
A birth certificate is then issued, after which it takes approximately two weeks to receive proper C.I.T.E.S documents.
This way you will know for certain that I only deal with Captive Born animals.
TERMS
· All tortoises are guaranteed to be healthy, feeding and properly sexed.
· Live arrival is guaranteed. In case something should go wrong, I will need a confirmation from the official airport inspector stating that the animal was DOA. This is necessary for an insurance claim. I will then replace the animal or refund the money, as long as I am notified within 24 hours from the time of arrival.
· All tortoises are available on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations may be made by a 25% non-refundable deposit. If I cannot produce the animals you have ordered, your deposit will be returned promptly.
· After I have obtained C.I.T.E.S export papers on the animal(s) ordered, I expect payment in full prior to shipment, including freight costs and fees.
· Deposit customers, please be prepared to pay payment in full within -- Otherwise your deposit will be forfeited and the animals may be offered to another customer.
· Payment must be made by Bank Transfer or WESTERN UNION money transfer for faster transactions.
- Orders should not be less than 1500 Euros.
· Shipments are sent by AIR FRANCE or SWISS AIR collect. I only use AIR FRANCE or SWISS AIR due to their excellent animal freight service and the fact that they cooperate with other suitable airlines world-wide.
